Located in the hub of the city’s beautiful
northern foreshore, the Cape Town International Convention
Centre (CTICC) is a cosmopolitan showcase where ideas and
cultures from around the globe are able to meet and mingle
against the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain.
With the nearby sea and harbour, the world famous V&A Waterfront
and a plethora of accommodation, the environment surrounding the
convention centre is truly cosmopolitan, and is, without doubt,
on equal footing with other international convention centres.
Within walking distance are the city's major hotels, providing
over 3 000 rooms of 3-star quality and above - including the
483-room deluxe Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel integrated into
the convention centre complex. In total, the city has more than
15 000 rooms to offer in hotels, inns and guesthouses within a
45-minute radius of the city centre, which has an efficient road
network and good local transportation.
The centre provides flexibility without compromise. All
facilities are accommodated under a single roof, including an
integrated deluxe hotel, dedicated exhibition space, and
generous banqueting and meeting facilities.
The centre has been meticulously designed with absolute respect
for the end user and the most modern amenities and technology as
mandatory ingredients. Crucial in meeting conference organiser
expectations is flexibility, which is achieved by providing:
Dedicated 10 000m²-exhibition space on the ground floor, which
is column-free, rectangular, height between 10 and 16m, with
power, water, and data communications every 4.5m throughout the
hall and a floor load of up to 30kN / m2. This space can
accommodate 10 000 delegates in plenary session or can be
configured into 5 separate venues for smaller exhibitions,
banquets or conferencing.
Two raked fixed seating auditoria for 1500 and 620 people, as
well as a wide variety of 33 breakout rooms of which 20 can be
configured to different sizes.
